Westport Festival launch party, 5 June 2010

After a year of preparation, Westport's 4th Folk & Bluegrass Festival is going on its way. On Saturday 5 June 2010 the Electric Cave Production will host the official launch party. The event will take place in the 'home' of the festival - Geraghty's pub.

On the night we will present the program of the festival and will start the ticket sales. Music for the event will be provided by the Henry Girls [photo above]. The band opened the concert in the main event of last year festival, and although being the festival's 'wild card', they received a standing ovation and amazed the crowd with their unique sound.

They will be joined on stage by Westport's own bluegrass duo, Sara and Hubie MacEvilly [right], who will play a major part in this year's festival and are one of only two acts who return to the festival for the fourth year running.

This event is another stepping stone in the 'Unfinished music' series which takes place in the pub and hosts the cream of folk and bluegrass acts from Ireland and the rest of the world. See you there!
