Prison Love in Dublin, 4 June 2010
A new message from Ireland's favourite serial offenders:
Howdy Friends,
Well, it sure has been a while. The Warden had us on lock down all winter long; but with the arrival of the summer sun and a new, easy-to-bribe guard, Prison Love have broken out again!
Just back from a mini-tour of the north of England and a stint at the Clonmel World Music series, we're back in Dublin to tear it up at the Cobblestone for the start of the bank holiday.
Recently transferred from the Parisien Penitentiary, we will be introducing our new inmate on the doghouse bass, Martin 'Mains de Dieu' Gruet - nobody knows what he did to get in here, so make sure you make him feel right at home...
I'm seeing a lot of red gingham shirts on the streets these days - and even better, some torn off Lee Coopers too - that means the summer's here and we need to get our hoedown on. So throw on that shirt and polish up your finest dancing boots and get ready to stomp...
