Tom Hanway & his Bluegrass Pals: shows and session

Tom Hanway & his Bluegrass Pals play Loughrey’s in Tullamore tonight, Friday 12 March, 10.00 p.m. This is a new venue for the band, who are playing an open bluegrass session the following night, Saturday 13 March at Murtha’s Pub, a cosy country pub in Multyfarnam, Co. Westmeath, at 10.00 p.m., in the hopes of developing a monthly session open to all bluegrass and string musicians.

Tom (a fingerstyle guitarist as well as a banjo player) and his Pals are also booked to play the Irish National Guitar Festival in Drogheda, Co. Louth, on 9 April. More details soon.

The band has added several new songs and fiddle-banjo tunes to its repertoire and will be trying them out on audiences this weekend.
