Spells bring bluegrass back to Ballaghaderreen

The sound of banjos, dobros, guitars, fiddles, and singers will ring out on Pound Street, Ballaghaderreen, on Friday 19 March, letting everybody know that the second annual Spells Springtime Bluegrass Fest is under way.

The three-day event will see top bluegrass bands take to the stage in Spells (downstairs bar) each night as well as open bluegrass sessions in the afternoon / evening.

On Friday night from the misty midlands Hickory Wind will perform. On Saturday the headline act will be Gone to Grass and on Sunday, bringing the festival to a close, the bluegrass sound of Moonshine from Kinvara will send the festival goers home buzzing after a great weekend of music, song, and fun.
