Special C. in the schools

Too long to wait till the next visit from the Special Consensus? - of course it is. But in the meantime you can see and hear the Special C. in an important part of the band's professional life: performing in schools and giving the schoolchildren, through personal contact, an idea of what bluegrass and its instruments are, and how the instruments and the music work.

A twenty-minute sampler, shot on video by Fred Robbins while Special C. were on the job, can be seen on the original Bluegrass Blog. The band is in a fairly recent configuration, with Ryan Roberts on guitar, and Ashby Frank still on mandolin.
