A little Balla atmosphere

Thanks to Fred Keller, mandolinist of the Whistlepigs String Band of Minnesota (see the BIB post of 19 October), for a link to his YouTube channel.

The clips on the channel include plenty of old-time fiddle tunes which will be of particular interest to mandolin players; but the most recently added footage was shot while Fred and his wife Missy were at the first Balla Bluegrass Festival in Balla, Co. Mayo, in late October. It's a five-minute segment of the Sunday night concert and gives an excellent impression of the festival atmosphere: Sean McManus, one of the most dedicated supporters of bluegrass in this island, sings 'I'm so afraid of losing you again', backed by Woodbine.
