Seventeen years...

Bob Cherry, founder of Cybergrass, the original internet bluegrass news magazine, announces that today it celebrates seventeen years of promoting bluegrass music on the worldwide web. Cybergrass adopted a new format six years ago, and since then has had sixteen million page views. See more details here.

Our friend Erio Meili in Brazil, president of the Sao Paulo Bluegrass Music Association and coordinator of the South American Bluegrass Network, sends his congratulations to Cybergrass and adds:

Today is also our seventh birthday of the officially registered dominion date of our website and today is also the thirteenth anniversary of Bill Monroe's passing. So, today is 09/09/09 for all of us. What a Great Bluegrass Day and easy to remember!

Update 10 September: the BIB has a permanent link to Cybergrass near the head of the list of links in our right-hand column.
