More from Omagh; more to come from Nashville

Thanks to Niall Toner for the above photo of the NTB in action on the main stage at Omagh a week ago. The band was in fine form throughout, and as Niall says, 'the weekend was just great, apart from the rain...'

Niall will soon be in Nashville, TN, for the Americana Music Association's 2009 Americana Music Festival & Conference (16-19 September). He will be reporting in to the Pat Kenny Radio Show on RTE Radio One on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of next week (16-18 Sept.), and adds:

There will be some 'tourist' and 'come-visit'-type content to my reports, and hopefully a goodly lump of music.

Update 13 Sept.: Bluegrass-related acts showcasing in the Americana event include Missy Raines & the New Hip, Bearfoot, Marty Stuart, the Greencards, the Boston Boys, Jim Lauderdale, the Lovell Sisters, Farewell Drifters, Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, Casey Driessen, Jerry Douglas, and Keith Sewell - many of whom have played in Ireland.
