Dede Wyland: new CD

Back in January 2001, a feature article in Bluegrass Unlimited magazine said that Dede Wyland's 'gifts of vocal virtuosity, musical expressiveness, and her sheer positive force of personality have made her a valued presence in modern acoustic music'. Soon after that, Irish bluegrass fans had a chance to hear the truth of that when she came to the Athy festival with Tom Mindte's Patuxent Partners band.

Now Tom's Patuxent Music record company has just released Dede's latest CD, Keep the light on, as Patuxent CD-189. Supporting her are a constellation of bluegrass vocal and instrumental talent: Mike Munford, Ronnie and Rickie Simpkins, Wyatt Rice, Darol Anger, Ira Gitlin, Tom McLaughlin, Randy Barrett, Dudley Connell, David McLaughlin, and Fred Travers. It is available both from Patuxent Music and from Dede herself.
