Cajun/Bluegrass Night at Armagh, 25 Sept. 2009

The Market Place Theatre, Armagh, is hosting another Cajun/Bluegrass night next Friday, 25 September. Music is by Knotty Pine String Band [see photo] who many readers will no doubt remember from the music in the Folk Park sessions at the Omagh festival earlier this month. As usual there is the option of some cajun food before the performance. We've enjoyed this meal very much; highly recommended.

... If you have BBC 4 (freeview channel 9), tonight had the first episode of the new series of 'Transatlantic Sessions' at 8.30, repeated again at 1.30 - very late, I know, but it is well worth sitting up for. Tonight featured Dan Tyminski, James Taylor and Alison Moorer.
