Irish readers of a certain age may do a double-take at this photo taken by Lilly Pavlak at the 37th Banjo Jamboree at Čáslav in the Czech Republic. The Banjo Jamboree, the longest-established bluegrass festival in Europe, was held this year on 19-20 June.
The band on stage is Křeni, who won the #3 European Bluegrass Band of the Year award at the EWOB Festival 2009 in the Netherlands four weeks earlier. The banner behind their banjo- and mandolin-players is advertising an energy drink.

Semtex and bluegrass - the best combination for the best music festival on all over the world. God (or somebody else) bless the Banjo Jamboree Caslav.
