Athy 09 in still and moving pictures

The long-awaited first instalments of a visual record of the 19th Athy Bluegrass Festival two weeks ago are now available. Photos taken by Carl Mark O'Neill, Colin Henry, and Des Butler have been gratefully received and can be seen here. More will be welcome from other sources.

Thanks also to Jan Michielsen of 4 Wheel Drive, who sends a link to a film (in his Cheap Aldi Camera Productions series) shot while 4WD were at Athy for the festival. The point of Jan's series title is that movies can be made using a cheap photo camera with movie functions (available from Aldi or Lidl for under €100) and free Windows software. More footage from Athy is promised and will appear on Jan's YouTube channel.

Other video recording was in progress during the festival, and this is expected to result in an official Athy 09 video.
