New magazine for traditional bluegrass

At a time when the economics of hard-copy publishing are not for the faint-hearted, it's good to hear via the Bluegrass Blog of the forthcoming appearance of a magazine devoted to traditional bluegrass and old-time music.
Jerusalem Ridge Magazine is planned to appear quarterly, with an auxiliary online edition. Editor and publisher Ron Malec, who has been associated with the annual festivals at Jerusalem Ridge, KY, intends to release the first issue during this year's festival (2-5 October). For more details see the Bluegrass Blog feature and the magazine's website.
BIB editor's note: 'Jerusalem Ridge' is familiar as the title of an instrumental composed by the Father of Bluegrass, who named it for the high ground behind his childhood home near Rosine, KY. It's a unique location for a festival devoted to traditional bluegrass, at which Niall Toner played in 2005.
