Ulster author commemorated in new website

Thanks to our friend Nancy Cardwell of IBMA for the news that Ron Block, banjo- and guitar-player for Alison Krauss & Union Station, now has his CDs Faraway land and DoorWay at $10 each on his website.

Ron also produced and plays on the new CD Secrets by 16-year-old mandolin prodigy Sierra Hull, which is due for release in March 2008. Also taking part are other members of AKUS and Mountain Heart.

Finally: Ron is a contributor to a new website, the Rabbit Room, named after the room in the Oxford pub where C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and other friends met for convivial discussions. C.S. Lewis was of course brought up in Holywood, Co. Down, and (according to Tolkien) remained more of an Ulsterman than even he himself was aware.
