New mandolin picker on the Dublin scene

Martin McWhorter, traditional bluegrass-style mandolin player from Chicago, made his debut on the Dublin scene at the Fair City Grass show on Wednesday night. Thanks for the above photo to Enda Donnelly, who reports:

We are delighted to say after some time waiting, our American MySpace friend Martin Mac. played bluegrass mandolin as a guest with us (Fair City Grass) at our regular gig at Mother Reilly's Rathmines, Dublin, Wed. 9 Jan. We really enjoyed his authentic sound & hope to have him back soon again. Martin has recently moved from Chicago USA and is now working in Ireland.
