Old-time music on video

FOAOTMAD sends the good news that one of the best and most influential string bands of the 1990s has been reborn as Freighthoppers '08 (original members David Bass and Frank Lee are now joined by Thomas Bailey and Isaac Deal) with a MySpace page.

FOAOTMAD also gives links to some YouTube videos from the Clifftop festival in West Virginia this August: (1) the New North Carolina Ramblers (tantalisingly short); (2) a nice jam of 3-4 minutes; (3) another about the same length; (4) a jam on 'Waynesboro'; and (5) some sedate flatfooting by Cordell Lawson.
