Uncle Earl news

The August newsletter from Uncle Earl (sweethearts of last year's Longford festival) announces that their new music video is nearing release: 'It's all been shot and edited in its full-on kung-fu clogging glory.'

They will also be playing shows from tomorrow night (22 August) to 2 September with Bryn Davies, whom many in Ireland will remember as bass player with the Too High String Band of Texas at the Dunmore East and Omagh Festivals a few years ago, and who has got around a good deal since then.

They have featured in an article by Tim Mohr in Playboy magazine; an article by Martha Burk, 'Bluegrass liberation', in Ms. magazine; and a video interview from the Bonnaroo music and arts festival. You can read the Playboy article, watch the Bonnaroo video, and buy the issue of Ms. Read the Uncle Earl newsletter on the band's website, or sign up to receive future instalments by e-mail.
