Vincent Cross reports after a brief visit to Ireland:

... It was a rapid affair. I only managed to squeeze out two gigs. It was great to be back and play with some of my old 'Lost Souls'.


Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder at the Lincoln Center

New York continues to offer great chances to meet hear and meet people with the passion for Bluegrass. I've attached a few photos of a free concert in the Lincoln Center of Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, as well as Claire Lynch. It was a wet and wacky night. The highlight for me was to see Andy Statman and Ricky Skaggs blow into 'Old Joe Clarke'.

I was also fortunate to meet Mark O'Connor in my local. What a musician. He can really bring out some amazing sounds from that fiddle. His son is pretty good too. He's only 19 and plays mandolin.
