Video treasury on line: update

Thanks to FOAOTMAD for the news of Great Smoky Mountains TV, with plenty of nice old-time and bluegrass music on video, not to mention other things from the mountains. Just to take one example, the footage of Frank Lee is an education in how a banjo can sound. FOAOTMAD adds: 'Fans of Rayna Gellert might be interested to know that her band, Uncle Earl, will be broadcasting on the Woodsongs show on 20 Feb. Shows are available for download after they have been broadcast; the full list is here.'

And thanks again to Cathal Cusack for the news of the video treasury on the John Hartford website. Some of the major items in this cornucopia are from last year's Bean Blossom festival: a complete set by Dr Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys, nearly an hour long; and the tribute to Jimmy Martin, about the same length, featuring Audie Blaylock, Paul Williams, Bill Yates, J. D. Crowe, Marty Stuart and his band, Tom T. Hall, Dr Ralph & Co. All to be found at this link.
