Tony O'Brien reports the following Athy news items:

'(1) Athy bluegrass returns to its spiritual home of Smugglers Inn on Thursday 9 March, when Woodbine start a resident spot on a three-week cycle. Guest musicians are welcome.

'(2) The Festival will again have an opening night in the Clanard Hotel on Thursday 13 July and have a gig trail in at least three town venues on Saturday 15 July. This is in addition to the concerts on Friday & Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon. Details later.

'(3) Bluegrass fans - please vote for "The Sullivan Bros" again on Sat. & Sun. nights on RTE 1 "You're A Star", as they are great supporters of our festival and other events.'
