Alison Brown in Dublin, 15 January

Alison Brown, one of the most eclectic, imaginative, and tasteful banjo players anywhere, will be performing with the Alison Brown Quartet in Whelan's, Dublin, on Sunday 15 January at 8.00 p.m. This is part of a brief tour of these islands, including appearances in Glasgow on 17 and 29 January in the 'Celtic connections' series of events.

She is also the founder of the Nashville-based label Compass Records, which features a wide range of acoustic musics; recent releases include albums by Paul Brady, Kate Rusby, Aly Bain, and Sharon Shannon. Alison's latest CD, Stolen moments (Compass CD-4400), was released last April.
