Belfast's new jam session off to a flying start
Thanks to Richard Leeman, organiser of Belfast's new monthly bluegrass jam session at the Errigle Inn (see the BIB for 12 Nov.), who writes:
I just wanted to get in touch to let you know how the session at the Errigle went on Tuesday. I'm glad to say that despite the freezing weather we got a good crowd and had a great night. Guitars, banjos, mandolins, fiddles, bass, harmonica, and a bodhrán were all present! As you know that was the first ever session at the Errigle, so I'm hoping that word of mouth spreads and we can build on it over the next few months (and hopefully years).
The next session is Tuesday 4 January, again upstairs at the Errigle Inn, Ormeau Road, Belfast. Everyone is assured of a warm welcome. If anyone needs any further details they can contact me by e-mail or on the Facebook page. I've attached a couple of photos, but I'm a terrible photographer!
Thanks again for posting about the session on your blog, it definitely helped to get the word out.
