The Molly Hicks at Westport, 18 Sept. 2010
Thanks to Uri Kohen of Electric Cave Production, who reports from Westport, Co. Mayo:
Last Saturday night (18.9.2010) the Molly Hicks joined an ever growing list of great bands who performed in front of the red flag of the Electric Cave Production in Geraghty's pub, Westport.
The Molly Hicks were the last band to be booked to the 4th Westport Folk & Bluegrass Festival; they played a lunchtime gig on the second day of the festival and took the crowd by storm. I knew then that I would have to have them back to the more unique environment of Geraghty's. Once again they played a superb gig in front of a cheering crowd and earned their place in our Wall of Fame.
I believe that the band's popularity is growing at a quick pace, and I think that they well deserve it. Please go and see them wherever they play!
This Friday we will see the return of Mad Uncle Harry for a great bluegrass/Americana gig.
