What a weekend - zzzzzzzzzz!!!

Another busy weekend was spent by Dangem Bluegrass at Omagh; Derek writes:

A big 'Thank you' to all who visited our stand in the Old Wheelwright's at the 21st Annual Bluegrass Festival at the Ulster American Folk Park, Omagh, weekend just past. Hope all you good folks that brought your banjos along for a check-over were happy with the service.

Also a big 'Thank you' to Richard [Hurst], Patrick [O'Kane], and all the friendly and helpful staff in the Folk Park for delivering another great bluegrass festival. Times are hard, budgets cut everywhere. To the people at National Museums N.I., I would like to say: 'You got a lot of smiles per £ this weekend.'

Highlight for me - lending my personal banjo to the banjo player with Don Rigsby. I didn’t know it could sound so good.

Next best highlight: just about everything else, and a visit from our good Bluegrass Ireland Blog pal Richard Hawkins.

As you can see from the above picture, Banjo Bill was like a coiled spring full of energy...
