Spirit Family Reunion - in progress

Spirit Family Reunion, the six-piece roots-music band from Brooklyn, NY (see the BIB for 18 Aug. for more details), have opened their tour in Ireland with a busy weekend: they played throughout the Omagh festival in west Ulster and also played two shows for Open House on the other side of the province.

We noted that members of I Draw Slow (also on the bill at Omagh) expressed very warm approval of the SFR, and made a point of attending their sets there. The BIB editor's esteemed wife Carol considers the Spirit Family Reunion as among the highlights of the festival; and describes them as

Mind-blowingly dynamic, with fantastic harmonies which cut you to the core. An energetic, exciting band. Not to be missed. Wow!
