'Music to risk your life for'

That's the title under which the Open House team in Belfast introduce the latest event in their 'Festival lineup all year long' programme. Read why they chose those words in their e-newsletter about the scheduled appearance by Rev. Peyton's Big Damn Band (USA) on Saturday 29 September 2012. The venue is the Empire Music Hall, 42 Botanic Avenue, Belfast BT7 1JQ. Tickets (online advance price £10.00; door price £12.50) are available online. Doors open at 8.00 p.m., and the show is advertised as 'Strictly over 18s'.

Rev. Peyton's Big Damn Band - the Rev. J. Peyton, his wife Breezy, and distant cousin Aaron 'Cuz' Persinger - come from Brown County, Indiana, home of the Bill Monroe Memorial Music Park & Campground. Their music may not be bluegrass, but any bluegrass enthusiast who - like Mr Monroe himself - loves blues should enjoy it.
